Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year from all the staff at Hunter Mobile Preschool.

Our office will be closed from 12pm Tuesday 19th December 2023 and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 30th January 2024.

Thanks to the NSW Government’s Affordable Preschool Funding, Hunter Mobile Preschool remains attendance fee free for all children in 2023, regardless of any other services your child attends!

The service will be closed for school holidays from Monday 28th June to Friday 9th July.

Preschool will return on Monday 12th July and OSHC will return on Tuesday 13th July due to the pupil free day at NSW Public Schools.

NSW Government has announced a new Start Strong Free Preschool program for mobile and community preschools.  In 2022, $150 million will be provided to sustain the delivery of free preschool attendance for an additional year.

The Start Strong Free Preschool program will replace to COVID-19 Free Preschool Funding Program in 2022, supporting preschools to sustain the delivery of free preschool for at least 600 hours a year (or around 15 hours a week) for another year.

This means that Hunter Mobile Preschool will once again have free attendance at preschool for 2022, the only fee payable for the entire year will be our $55 annual enrolment fee per family.

Preschool and OSHC are over for another year!  Our office will be closed from Wednesday 16th December 2020 to Tuesday 26th January 2021.  We will return to work on Wednesday 27th January which will also be the first day back at preschool for those venues that operate on a Wednesday.

Face to Face Preschool resumes on the dates below.  Unfortunately at this stage, we are still unable to use the Gillieston Heights Community Centre or the Telarah Hall.  For the Gillieston families, the option is to attend a Tuesday at the Lochinvar hall, and the Telarah families have been given the opportunity to join a Lochinvar session that suits them.

Monday 25^th– Vacy & East Cessnock

Tuesday 26^th – Gresford, East Cessnock & Gillieston Heights (at Lochinvar hall)

Wednesday 27^th – Wollombi & Lochinvar (including Telarah children if requested)

Thursday 28^th – Wollombi, Vacy & Lochinvar (including Telarah children if requested)

Friday 29^th – Gresford

Both Gresford and Vacy OSHC are still operating as normal

There will be many changes that will be implemented in order for us to safely return to preschool. Some of these will be:
• Please maintain social distancing during drop off and pick up times, especially around the sign-in table
• Hand sanitiser will be available at locations around the venues.
• Cleaning of high traffic areas will increase.
• The play environment will be organised in a way that promotes space between children.
